Well, it’s the night before the big, long plane ride over to Africa. A few of us are heading over to Liberia and Sierra Leone gather stories and updates on the wells that have been dug thanks to all of your contributions last Christmas, as well as a few places that are going to need our help this year. For me, I took this trip last year, and it was everything you’d expect: Amazing. Scary. Sad. Overpowering. Joyous. Everything in between. On the one hand, you go, and you see all this pain and depravity. Last I checked, I believe Monrovia is home to three million people, and the unemployment rate is somewhere around 85%. Think about that. And yet, on the other hand, I have never seen people who exemplify the spirit of God’s love and grace and who value their families more than these people. Their smiles and laughter humbled me. I can’t wait to see some of the friends I made last year again. I also can’t wait to share the stories with all of you. Continue to pray for us and those God is intersecting into our lives as we continue to Enter The Story.
